Setting Out Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer for a major substation project at Bicker Fen, Lincolnshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy site team on a high-profile infrastructure project with an immediate start available.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying works across the project.
• Establishing and maintaining site control points.
• Producing and checking as-built surveys.
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications and drawings.
• Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams.
• Maintaining accurate records and survey data.
• Supporting quality assurance and site documentation requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering, infrastructure, energy, or substation projects.
• Competent using surveying equipment including GPS and robotic total stations.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
• CSCS card (essential).
• Relevant engineering qualification preferred.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NG Persons ticket (Essential)

Rates & Overtime

• Saturday: Time and a half (£600 per day equivalent)
• Sunday: Double time (£800 per day equivalent)
• Long hours available subject to project requirements.
