You also need a FLT. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join a busy site, working with a professional team on a long-term contract. The Role As a Banksman / Slinger , you will be responsible for the safe slinging and signalling of loads, directing vehicle and crane movements, and ensuring all lifting operations are carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures and health and safety regulations. Responsibilities Sling and signal loads safely for crane operations. Direct the safe movement of cranes, lorries, plant, and other site vehicles. Communicate clearly with crane operators, drivers, and site personnel using recognised hand signals and radio communication where required. Carry out pre-lift checks and ensure lifting accessories are suitable and in good condition. Ensure lifting operations are completed safely and in accordance with lifting plans. Monitor work areas for potential hazards and report any safety concerns immediately. Maintain compliance with all site health and safety procedures. Assist with general site safety during lifting and vehicle movements. Requirements Previous experience as a Banksman / Slinger is essential. Valid Slinger/Signaller certification (CPCS or NPORS) is preferred. Banksman / Traffic Marshal qualification is advantageous. Good understanding of lifting operations and site safety.
