Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 + Package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist renewable energy contractor delivering innovative heating and energy solutions across the UK.
The business is recognised for its expertise in the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of ground source, water source, and air source heat pump systems. Working across a range of commercial and specialist projects, the company prides itself on delivering tailored, energy-efficient solutions with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working closely with operational and technical teams in a fast-paced project environment.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Operations Director / Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the commercial performance of allocated projects from inception through to completion.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the commercial performance of multiple projects
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Design teams, and Senior Commercial Management
Reviewing client and subcontractor contracts
Monitoring and reporting project financial performance
Managing procurement procedures and subcontract valuations
Ensuring variations are identified, recorded, and managed effectively
Raising and resolving commercial issues in a timely manner
Preparing detailed cost and progress reports for clients
Supporting package negotiations and commercial strategy
Advising on contractual and legal matters where required
Protecting the company's commercial interests at all times
Supporting compliance with Health & Safety and statutory requirements across projects

About You
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within M&E, construction, building services, or renewable energy sectors
Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong report writing ability
The confidence to challenge professionally when required
A proactive and solution-focused approach
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Good understanding of contractual procedures and project controls
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
