Building Regulations Principal Designer Location: Outskirts of Birmingham / Hybrid Salary: Up to 65,000 + Benefits A growing consultancy is looking to appoint a Building Regulations Principal Designer to join its expanding Building Safety team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an Architectural Technologist background who has moved into Building Regulations Principal Design and is looking to work on a varied portfolio of high-profile projects across the UK. You'll be joining a collaborative team with strong technical capability, working closely with clients, architects and multidisciplinary design teams to ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act and current Building Regulations. The Role Deliver Building Regulations Principal Designer duties across a range of projects. Advise clients and design teams throughout the design process. Coordinate compliance with the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations. Review design information and identify compliance risks. Support Gateway submissions where required. Attend client and design team meetings. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. About You Architectural Technology background. Experience carrying out Building Regulations Principal Designer duties. Good understanding of the Building Safety Act. Strong knowledge of Approved Documents and Building Regulations. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Membership of a relevant professional body is advantageous.
