Job Description
- Lead and manage all engineering operations across the critical banking site.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, health & safety legislation, and company procedures.
- Manage and support a team of 8 shift engineers and 1 day engineer, including performance management, development, and training.
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and emergency response activities.
- Maintain uptime and resilience of critical electrical infrastructure including UPS systems, generators, switchgear, LV/HV systems, and associated critical plant.
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for all electrical and critical systems issues.
- Develop strong working relationships with the client and attend regular operational and performance meetings.
- Manage subcontractors and specialist service providers to ensure compliance and performance standards are achieved.
- Review and manage permits to work, RAMS, and isolation procedures.
- Ensure accurate completion of maintenance records, reports, and compliance documentation through CAFM systems.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and management of engineering expenditure.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and energy efficiency opportunities across the contract.
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure business continuity procedures and emergency response plans are maintained and tested.
