Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Working Foreman to join our team on a live substation project.
Duration: 4 weeks+
Pay: From 26.75ph CIS
Start Date: Monday 1st June
The successful candidate will oversee and support site operations involving:
- Drainage works
- Reinforced steel works
- General civils activities within a live substation environment
You must be capable of leading gangs on site while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and workmanship.
Applicants must hold the following:
- SMSTS
- First Aid at Work (FS/FAW)
- CPCS or NPORS
- Relevant Machine Tickets
- Experience working on live substations
- Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
- Ability to manage workforce and coordinate daily activities
Duties Include
- Supervising day-to-day site operations
- Ensuring works are completed safely and to programme
- Coordinating labour, plant, and materials
- Conducting site briefings and maintaining H&S standards
- Assisting hands-on where required
Experience
- Previous National Grid or utility substation experience
- Civils and infrastructure background
- Drainage experience (preferable)
- Reinforced concrete/rebar experience (preferable)
