Salary: 70,000- 85,000 + benefits/bonus Location: Soho, London - Hybrid flexible. WHAT IS THE ROLE? A well-established, multi-disciplinary property consultancy is looking to strengthen its London and Greater London Valuation team. This is a newly created Valuation Surveyor role reporting into the Head of London Valuation, with a clear remit to help grow the team's presence and instructions across the region. The role is commercial valuation focused, with the option to get involved in residential development valuation work for candidates who have that experience and interest. Work is split between bank instructions and private client matters, giving good variety across the caseload. WHAT LEVEL IS THIS? This one is genuinely open on seniority. The firm will consider strong Associate-level valuers ready to take the next step, right through to Partner-level surveyors who want to come in and build something. A role that can be supported at both levels. This role will suit someone that enjoys billing and "doing the job", but someone who really wants the chance to prove themselves, with support, at a higher level. Your responsibilities will include: Developing new business and expanding existing client relationships Preparing fee proposals and supporting revenue growth Leading a range of professional Building Surveying instructions Acting on Party Wall matters and Licence to Alter projects Producing specifications, tender and contract documentation Contract Administration Dilapidations and defect diagnosis Measured and building surveys across residential and commercial assets Supporting Expert Witness instructions, including inspections and CPR35-compliant reporting Overseeing project delivery and maintaining excellent client service Mentoring and developing junior and mid-level surveyors, including APC candidates Working closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities and shape the team's growth What we're looking for We're looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with commercial instinct and the confidence to operate at a senior level. You'll ideally have: An RICS-accredited degree in Building Surveying MRICS qualification Significant consultancy experience A strong professional Building Surveying background Experience developing client relationships and/or winning new work Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong commercial awareness The ability to lead, mentor and develop others Excellent organisation and attention to detail Strong Microsoft Office skills; CAD/BIM experience would be advantageous The opportunity This would suit an existing Associate Director looking for a bigger platform or an experienced Senior Building Surveyor ready to step into a leadership position.
