1 x Leakage Engineer Based in Dorset, but travel may be required in Wessex Vacancies also in Wiltshire and Hampshire Surveying of 311km of PVC, GRP and AC Trunk Mains (200mm+) , predominantly in Dorset but a small amount in Wessex. Field teams are to walk the routes of these pipes in their entirety except where it is unsafe to do so. Strategic asset checks are to be undertaken along the entirety of these pipes and the attached file contains all assets held on GIS for these mains. These checks are to be undertaken on all assets located along the mains, but especially focussing on the following: · Line Valves – visual checks, valve exercising · Air Valves – visual checks, valve operation · Access routes to main, including locks on gates, condition of paths etc. · Access to pipe – any build over or grow over of asset · Correlation of sections Requirements – Engineers with the following attributes: · Previous experience in Leakage Detection and Pipe Tracing, · Proficiency in the use of leakage detection equipment such as a Correlator, Pipe Tracer and Listening Stick and Ground Microphone · Relevant qualifications, including an NVQ Level 2 in Leakage, Candidate must possess the following; · Excellent knowledge of Water Supply Networks · Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills · Good IT Skills · National Water Hygiene Card essential · NRSWA essential · Valve Ops Card essential · Full Driving License For more information please contact Karl on (Apply online only)
