A leading multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy is seeking a Project Manager to join its specialist building safety team in London. The Project Manager will work on complex cladding replacement, fire safety remediation and wider building safety programmes, alongside selected new-build construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join a growing team delivering important residential and mixed-use schemes across the capital. The successful Project Manager will manage projects from initial investigation and design development through procurement, construction and final handover. The Project Manager will coordinate clients, consultants, contractors and residents, ensuring each project is delivered safely and efficiently. The Project Manager will also support new-build schemes, giving the Project Manager a varied workload and broader construction experience. This role would suit a Project Manager who understands the technical, regulatory and stakeholder challenges involved in occupied residential buildings. You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role. The Project Manager's role The Project Manager will lead cladding remediation, fire safety improvement and building safety projects through all stages of delivery. Responsibilities will include preparing programmes, coordinating design teams, monitoring project risks and supporting the procurement of specialist contractors. The Project Manager will chair progress meetings, prepare client reports and monitor works against agreed quality, cost and programme targets. They will also work closely with Building Surveyors, Fire Engineers, Fa ade Consultants, Principal Designers and contractors to ensure remedial solutions meet current safety requirements. Projects may include external wall system replacement, compartmentation works, fire door upgrades, internal fire safety improvements and new-build residential construction. Our client is seeking an experienced Fire Consultant to support a wide range of fire safety consultancy services across commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and mixed-use developments. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically competent professional who enjoys both site-based and consultancy work. The Role As a Fire Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting a range of fire safety services, including: Assisting with and undertaking Fire Risk Assessments. Carrying out compartmentation surveys and inspections. Fire door inspections and compliance reporting. Retrospective fire strategy reviews and development of fire strategy documentation. Providing practical fire safety advice to clients and project teams. Producing high-quality technical reports and recommendations. Liaising with contractors, building owners, and duty holders to ensure compliance with current fire safety legislation and guidance. Travelling to client sites throughout the North West and Yorkshire. About You To be considered for this position, you will have: A recognised fire safety qualification (Level 4 or above preferred). Experience delivering Fire Risk Assessments within a consultancy or similar environment. Knowledge of compartmentation surveys and passive fire protection. Experience inspecting fire doors to current industry standards. Understanding of retrospective fire strategy work and relevant fire safety legislation. Strong report writing and communication skills. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region. Professional memberships or accreditation (such as IFE, IFSM, CABE, or equivalent) would be highly advantageous.
