Overview We are seeking skilled and motivated Multi Trade Operatives to join our dynamic team on a self employed basis as service partners. We have a number of positions available covering Dundee and the borders. Our work is primarily within the insurance industry, so experience in this field is desired, but not a requirement. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in the building industry and be very used to working in customer's homes. Skills required are multi trade, but must be proficient in either carpentry or plumbing, or ideally both.Role will involve full kitchen and bathroom installations, tiling, potentially patch repair plastering and decorating. Any other skills would be an advantage but not required. NVQ qualifications or similar, time served also considered. UK driving licence, own van and tools required. Works allocated either by price or day works. Duties To be able to work from a schedule of rates. Carry out works to a very high standard and within timescales. To be able to work alone or as part of a team. To work safely and adhere to health and safety at work. Provide exceptional service to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Skills Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and clients. The Role We re looking for a Carpenter Multi-Trade Operative to join our team delivering works across the Southampton area, covering void properties, kitchen and bathroom (K&B) programmes and major repairs. This is a carpentry-led role focused on internal works and installations, where you will also carry out supporting multi-trade activities to ensure jobs are completed to a high standard. Working as part of a wider delivery team, you ll play a key role in delivering refurbishment and repair works safely, efficiently and to specification. What You ll Do Carry out carpentry works including kitchen fitting, 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, doors, frames and internal installations Deliver works across void properties, preparing homes for handover Support kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes Contribute to major repairs works across properties Carry out multi-trade works to support project completion, including: Basic plumbing Tiling Patch plastering and making goods Painting and decorating Work collaboratively with site teams to deliver works on time and to quality standards Follow health and safety procedures and complete risk assessments About You You re a skilled tradesperson with a strong carpentry background and experience across voids, K&B or major repairs, with the ability to support across multiple trades. Company An industry leading facades and drylining contractor who have been established for over 25 years and have a turnover in excess of £50m are on the market seeking a Estimator to to tender drylining projects up to £15m. They are looking for someone who is capable and innovative and has worked on major tenders with some of their packages being worth in excess of £15m. They work on prestigious projects for leading clients in London and the surrounding counties with the majority of works in Central London. They would like someone from either a facades or drylining background, both would be advantageous.
