Our client, a pivotal player in the nuclear sector, is currently seeking a Senior Planner (M&E) to join their team. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on a prestigious project focused on MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation). As a senior member of the project controls team, you will be instrumental in driving the project from design through to installation, ensuring successful delivery and operations within the industry. This role irequires the individual to either already hold or be able to obtain security clearance (SC). Key Responsibilities: Provide planning management and support to both pre-contract and contract operations for the business Coordinate with design and construction teams to manage and control the planning and programming aspects of framework proposals and multiple projects in progress Produce, manage, update the design & construction programme and communicate to internal and external customers and major stakeholders Manage and incorporate change events into the design and construction programme jointly with the commercial team to secure full entitlement under the contract Track design deliverables, update procurement schedules, and monitor supply chain performance effectively Apply proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM) for detailed reporting and programme acceptance Proactively use Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) and manage project risks Provide mentoring and coaching to assistant planners and planners Job Requirements: Significant experience in programme and project management, and project planning including programme controls, project review, cost, and risk analysis Ability to plan design and construction works from first principles, with experience in multi-discipline major projects Extensive site experience on business-related projects in a management or supervisory capacity Proficiency in using Primavera P6 and understanding of 3D BIM models Experience with NEC and understanding of change management principles Good understanding of construction sequences and EPC/ECI projects Ability to liaise and challenge key delivery partners effectively Relevant degree or equivalent in a core business discipline If you are a proactive and expereinced planner with a strong background in MEICA and a passion for delivering exceptional results, we encourage you to apply now. New Buildings and Facilities Assistant Location: Uxbridge Salary: 15.21 PH depending on experience Duration: ASAP for 6 months Contract type: Temporary - fully site based Adecco are currently recruiting for a New Buildings and Facilities Assistant to join a prestigious university based in Uxbridge. Roles and responsibilities To undertake preliminary investigation and repair of defect reports, (e.g. plumbing, electrical, building/carpentry, general repairs), or making safe and reporting clear information to the relevant supervisor, or University Estates Department for further action via verbal or electronic means on a daily basis. To carry out basic electrical tasks to include replacing light bulbs, fluorescent tubes and lamps, checking external lighting, safe isolation. Resetting circuit breakers as per University procedures. To support the Buildings and Facilities Supervisor in completing PPM (preventative planned maintenance), Health & Safety duties, planned activities and fire drills. To inform the Buildings and Facilities Supervisor when equipment and parts are used and require replenishment on a daily basis. To undertake manual handling as and when required. To prioritise own work load effectively. To provide clear and effective information to students when attending residences, directing students as and when required by verbal commands on a daily basis. To fulfil legal requirements of critical Health and Safety / Mandatory inspection, and testing regimes, e.g. fire alarm testing, fire extinguisher checks, Emergency Light Testing, Legionella flushing/sampling, lux levels, asbestos condition reporting, PAT Testing. In accordance with the UUK Code of Practice for the Management of Student Housing. To follow University Health and Safety guidelines, specifically the asbestos register, COSHH, wear correct Uniform and PPE (provided) before completing any maintenance work. Maintaining accurate written and electronic records including the use of digital and electronic systems and tablet / PDA devices for all work carried out on a daily basis. To ensure that security within Residences is maintained for student's staff and contractors, following the University procedures. Repairing and maintaining all security and access systems, locks and keys using the correct procedures on a daily basis. To support the Student Living team in achieving audits (e.g. ISO 14001, UUK), accreditations (e.g. Investors in People, Green Impact) and legislative and compliance requirements. To liaise with contractors, or other University departments and other sections of Commercial Services as required following appropriate University guidelines daily, weekly or monthly. Person spec: Good standard of education Ability to carry out Portable appliance Testing (PAT) and safe electrical isolation training. Evidence of formal trade training e.g. NVQ Level 1 / City & Guilds qualification or equivalent experience in General maintenance / Carpentry / Plumbing. HVAC Engineer Darlington Up to 43,000 + On Call Our client is looking to appoint an HVAC Engineer to support multiple regulated commercial buildings across the North of England and Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-term contract that has already been established for five years, with a further five years remaining. The role will be based primarily across Darlington, with travel between sites using a shared company vehicle. You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across HVAC systems, fault finding, and supporting the wider engineering team in maintaining critical building services. The ideal candidate will have experience working in controlled environments such as hospitals, laboratories, food production facilities, or other highly regulated settings. Requirements: F-Gas Certification City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) Commercial HVAC maintenance experience Strong fault-finding abilities Full UK Driving Licence The wider contract consists of Engineers, Maintenance Assistants, Supervisors, and Senior Management. The HVAC team is currently made up of one Mechanical Engineer and one Electrical Engineer, with this role forming part of an expansion plan. There is an on-call requirement of 1 in 8 once the team is fully staffed.
