Technical Engineer Residential Development
Salary: £55,000 to £80,000 depending on level of experience

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Engineer to join a leading residential developer with a strong pipeline of projects across the South East.
This is a key technical role within a well-established Design & Technical team, where you ll take ownership of infrastructure coordination across multiple residential developments. Your Next Job What You ll Be DoingWhat You ll Be Doing As Technical Engineer, you ll sit at the heart of residential project delivery, supporting schemes from early design through to construction and adoption.
Your responsibilities will include:
Technical Coordination: Manage and coordinate engineering information across highways, drainage, utilities, and external works packages.
Design Management: Oversee external consultants producing infrastructure designs, ensuring outputs are practical, compliant, and cost-effective.
Approvals & Agreements: Support the progression of Section 38, Section 104 and Section 278 agreements, ensuring timely approvals and delivery alignment.
Programme Support: Track technical deliverables and help ensure infrastructure packages are delivered in line with build programmes.
Design Review: Review engineering proposals, providing input on buildability, value engineering, and technical compliance.
Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with local authorities, statutory bodies, utility companies, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and progress schemes.

Requirements & Rewards What You Give & What You Get Back To be successful in this role, you should have:
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years experience in a technical or infrastructure-focused role
- Background in residential development, consultancy, or civil engineering design
- Strong understanding of highways, drainage, and utility coordination
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience with Autodesk software packages (desirable)
- Knowledge of PDS or MicroDrainage (beneficial but not essential)
