Job Description
An established and highly respected construction business is looking to appoint an experienced Planner to join their team based outside Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Planner to work on large-scale construction projects across Scotland while developing their career within a forward-thinking contractor known for delivering high-profile projects.
The successful Planner will play a key role in supporting project delivery from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring programmes are managed effectively and projects are delivered on time. This role offers long-term progression opportunities and exposure to complex, multi-million-pound developments across a variety of sectors.
Key Responsibilities of the Planner:
- Develop, manage and maintain detailed construction programmes
- Work closely with project teams to monitor progress and identify risks
- Produce short-term and long-term project plans
- Provide regular reporting and programme updates to senior stakeholders
- Support tender planning and project delivery teams
- Liaise with site teams to ensure project milestones are achieved
- Assist with delay analysis and programme optimisation
Requirements of the Planner:
- Previous experience working as a Planner within the construction sector
- Strong knowledge of construction planning and project controls
- Experience using planning software ASTA
- Ability to manage multiple project programmes simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Main contractor experience would be advantageous
