You'll play an important role in the preparation and painting of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) -including scissor lifts and boom lifts-ensuring each machine is painted and finished to a high professional standard. This is a practical, varied position combining industrial painting , surface preparation , and general workshop support within a friendly and supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and paint mobile elevating equipment to a high-quality finish. Carry out surface preparation including cleaning, masking, sanding, and grinding. Remove old or failing paint using tools such as sanders or grinders. Apply industrial coatings and finishes using aerosol or spray systems. Work efficiently to meet production targets and maintain workshop standards. Follow all site health & safety procedures and wear provided PPE. We are looking for a dedicated, hard working and motivated Industrial Painter who preferably has some experience in this field of work. Mainly, we work on pieces of Steel but we're used to any metal. You would be required to work on projects as large as whole ships, all the way down to regular items such as tables and chairs. Obviously, the main role is Painting but on days where we are short on staff or just generally need a hand then you may be asked to go in the Blast Shed and do some Grit Blasting but this will never be permanent.
