Location: East Anglia Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent An established building services and maintenance contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join its growing team, covering sites across East Anglia. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with commercial gas experience and a good understanding of domestic heating systems to join a well-established business offering long-term stability, varied work, and career progression. The Role You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, fault-finding, installations, and reactive repairs on a range of commercial and domestic heating and hot water systems. The role is primarily focused on commercial gas works; however, experience working on domestic heating systems is also required due to the varied nature of the contracts. Key Responsibilities Service, maintain, and repair commercial gas appliances and heating systems Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance Diagnose and repair faults on commercial and domestic heating systems Install and commission boilers, plant equipment, and associated pipework Perform gas safety inspections, tightness testing, and combustion analysis Maintain hot water systems, pumps, valves, and associated mechanical equipment Complete job reports and certification using a tablet-based system Participate in the on-call rota as required Requirements Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer Experience working on domestic heating systems Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Commercial Gas qualifications (essential) Full UK Driving Licence Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Due to the nature of some contracts, applicants must be eligible to undergo security screening and pass relevant background checks.
