Our client is a highly respected MEP subcontractor, working with some of the UK's largest Tier 1 contractors on a portfolio of commercial fit-out and data centre projects , with mechanical package values ranging from 5m to 25m . Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate day-to-day mechanical installation activities on site. Lead and manage mechanical operatives, subcontractors, and specialist trades. Ensure all mechanical works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and drawings. Monitor site progress against programme requirements and report updates to Project Managers and Site Management teams. Allocate labour, materials, plant, and equipment effectively to maximise productivity. Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and installation details to ensure accurate project delivery. Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure works meet required standards. Carry out toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety briefings. Complete and maintain site records, progress reports, permits, inspections, and quality documentation. Coordinate mechanical works with other trades and subcontractors to minimise programme delays. Assist with material planning, deliveries, and storage to ensure uninterrupted workflow. Support commissioning, testing, and project handover activities. Attend site meetings and provide regular progress and productivity updates. Promote a positive culture focused on safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Requirements Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Mechanical Supervisor, Mechanical Foreman, or Lead Mechanical Engineer position. Proven experience delivering mechanical installations on commercial fit-out, pharmaceutical, industrial, or data centre projects. Strong understanding of mechanical building services installations, including ,HVAC Systems,LTHW & CHW Pipework Ventilation Systems,Public Health ServicesPlant Room Installations Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction programmes. SSSTS or SMSTS certification. Valid CSCS card. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and workstreams in a fast-paced construction environment.
