We're looking for a Works Foreman to join our Yorkshire Water Framework Location: East Riding of Yorkshire Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. Working on the AMP8 framework for Yorkshire Water, you'll oversee on-site operations and ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of construction activities. You'll be the key link between site teams, subcontractors, and senior management, ensuring that works are delivered to specification, quality standards, and programme requirements. As a Works Foreman, you'll be working within the Yorkshire Water team, supporting them in delivering high-quality construction projects safely and efficiently. Your day to day will include: Planning, coordinating, and overseeing site works to ensure safe, timely, and cost-efficient delivery in line with project specifications and programmes Providing health and safety leadership to operational delivery teams and ensuring compliance with all safety requirements Managing General Foreman, Foreman, Site Supervisors, and other resources to achieve project goals Maintaining effective relationships with clients and stakeholders to protect and enhance the company's reputation Controlling short and medium-term programmes and ensuring timely ordering and delivery of plant and equipment What are we looking for? General Foreman - Southern Water Framework Contract Role Main Contractor Southern Region Hays Civil Engineering is recruiting for an experienced General Foreman to support the delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Southern Water framework. Working for a leading civil engineering contractor, you will play a key role in the safe and successful delivery of projects ranging from treatment works upgrades and pumping stations to pipelines, reservoirs and associated infrastructure schemes throughout the South of England This is a long-term contract opportunity offering exposure to a substantial programme of work within the UK water sector. Carpenter Chargehand - Banbury Lead and support carpentry/formwork activities on a long-term construction project. Read and interpret drawings, general arrangement drawings, specifications and British Standards. Construct, assemble and erect formwork for reinforced concrete frames and structures. Ensure formwork is accurate and ready for concrete pouring gangs. Supervise work on site, supporting the General/Working Foreman. Maintain high standards of quality, productivity and health & safety. Proven ability to supervise direct labour, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation. Ability to work independently across multiple locations. Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel throughout the region.
