We are looking for an experienced Construction Assurance Engineer with a background in Geotechnical Engineering and Earthworks to support major HS2 works in Brackley.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong design experience who has transitioned into site-based delivery, project engineering, or assurance roles within major infrastructure environments.

You'll play a key role in ensuring earthworks and geotechnical packages are delivered safely, compliantly, and in accordance with approved engineering designs and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out site inspections and assurance activities across earthworks packages
Review QA/QC documentation, ITPs, and Work Package Plans
Ensure compliance with geotechnical designs and specifications
Witness testing activities including material and field testing
Raise and manage defects and NCRs
Audit construction quality and assurance procedures
Liaise with site delivery, design, and quality teams
Support project reporting and compliance tracking

Requirements
Degree qualified in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
Strong earthworks and geotechnical design background
Experience on rail, highways, or heavy civils projects
Previous experience in construction assurance, project engineering, or resident engineering
Knowledge of QA/QC processes and inspection procedures
Chartered status preferred

Contract Details
£450-£500 per day
Inside IR35
5 days per week on site in Brackley
