Brownlee Cale
QC Engineer
Brownlee Cale Devonport, Devon
We are looking to appoint an experienced Quality Control Engineer to support delivery of a major RC package on a high-profile infrastructure project in Devonport. This role sits with a self-delivery civil engineering contractor and will suit someone with a strong site engineering background who has moved into, or naturally leans toward, quality assurance, inspection and technical compliance. You are likely to have operated previously as a Site Engineer, Senior Engineer, Section Engineer or Sub Agent on heavy civils, reinforced concrete, marine or infrastructure. The focus of the role is to drive quality on site through rigorous inspection, assurance and record keeping across all stages of the works. You will take ownership of ITP compliance, QA documentation, material and workmanship inspections, and detailed pre-pour and post-pour checks, ensuring works are delivered in line with specification, drawings and client standards. You must be confident working closely with delivery teams, supervisors and site management to challenge standards where needed, close out defects, maintain robust quality records and ensure engineering and construction activities are completed right first time. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-biased engineer who still understands site delivery and takes real pride in high standards.
