Job Opportunity: Shuttering Carpenter Location: Blyth & surrounding areas Pay Rate: 25.00 per hour (CIS) Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday - Friday) The Opportunity Search Consultancy is looking for highly skilled Shuttering Carpenters to join a major civil engineering project based in Blyth . We are partnering with a leading main contractor who specialises in heavy civils and concrete structures. If you are a tradesperson who wants a consistent, high-volume week with a professional outfit that provides the right materials, tools, and structural support, this is the perfect project for you. Your Role & Responsibilities Working on a fast-paced structural concrete development in Blyth, your duties will include: Formwork Installation: Erecting and striking proprietary formwork systems (such as Peri, Doka, or Skydeck) as well as traditional bespoke timber shutters. Blueprint Precision: Reading, interpreting, and working strictly from structural engineering drawings to ensure all formwork is true to line and level. Structural Bracing: Ensuring all shutters are safely and securely propped, braced, and anchored to successfully withstand heavy concrete pours. Quality Assurance: Checking tolerances and internal cleanliness of forms prior to steel placement and pouring. Site Safety: Adhering to strict civils safety guidelines, including the safe manual handling of heavy systems. What We're Looking For Blue CSCS Card (Skilled Worker): A valid Formwork / Shuttering Carpentry CSCS card is a mandatory requirement. Technical Expertise: Deep experience working with both modular panel systems and traditional timber formwork on civils projects. Reliability & Commitment: Able to comfortably commit to a full 50-hour working week with a strong, punctual work ethic. Tools & PPE: Must have a comprehensive kit of specialist carpentry tools and standard 5-point PPE. Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK. Why Work With Search?
