About You Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering, infrastructure or highways sectors. Strong understanding and practical experience administering NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts. Experience delivering highways, public realm, drainage, infrastructure or Section 278 projects. Experience working on local authority frameworks and public sector contracts would be highly advantageous. Experience managing subcontract procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts. Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Full UK driving licence. This is a 3-year masterplan project offering long-term stability in the freelance market. The role is uniquely split as the project progresses. For the first few months, you will hit the ground running on engineering (surveying, QA, setting out, and civils/utilities). As the build develops, you will move into managing the build alongside the existing delivery team. Because this is a live school environment, works will ramp up during off-peak holiday periods, requiring someone adaptable and highly organised.
