Setting Out Engineer This challenging and exciting opportunity requires an individual with a good level of qualification, coupled with at least 1-3 years relevant setting out experience from the civil engineering, construction, infrastructure or groundworks sectors. Due to an increase in workload within their HS2 works, our client are looking for a Site Engineer to join their team on a large Drainage package of works which includes over 1.5kms of Track Drainage and associated Civils works. Based from site, they initially seek an individual to undertake QA for circa 6-8 weeks to complete a backlog of this and then move to site to undertake Setting Out and continue the QA and other Engineering duties. This is a 3-year masterplan project offering long-term stability in the freelance market. The role is uniquely split as the project progresses. For the first few months, you will hit the ground running on engineering (surveying, QA, setting out, and civils/utilities). As the build develops, you will move into managing the build alongside the existing delivery team. Because this is a live school environment, works will ramp up during off-peak holiday periods, requiring someone adaptable and highly organised.
