Drylining Estimator Location: Midlands (Office-based) Salary: 55,000 - 65,000 We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established interior fit-out specialist with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality drylining, suspended ceilings, SFS, partitions and interior finishing packages across the commercial construction sector. With continued growth, a strong pipeline of secured work and long-standing relationships with leading main contractors and developers, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Drylining Estimator to strengthen its pre-construction team. The Role As Drylining Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a range of commercial projects, working closely with the commercial and operational teams to secure profitable new business. Key Responsibilities Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation. Measure and price drylining, ceilings, partitions, SFS and associated interior packages. Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions. Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Identify value engineering opportunities where appropriate. Liaise with clients, consultants and the internal project delivery team throughout the tender process. Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings when required. Support successful handovers to the commercial and project teams following contract award. About You You'll already have estimating experience within drylining or interior fit-out and be confident pricing projects from first principles. Ideally you'll have: Proven experience estimating drylining and interior fit-out packages. Strong understanding of commercial construction. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Good knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Their expertise includes drylining, floor screeding, partitions, suspended ceilings, SFS framing, and external rendering. The business has built a strong reputation for quality workmanship, reliability, and long-term client relationships. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Estimator / Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team. Roles/Responsibilities Prepare accurate cost estimates, tenders, and quotations for prospective projects. Measure quantities from construction drawings and project specifications. Conduct site surveys and attend pre-tender and project meetings. Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the tender process. Obtain, review, and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. Assist with cost planning, budgeting, and commercial assessments. Support projects from tender stage through to successful handover. Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to project costs and estimates. Monitor project requirements and identify potential risks and opportunities. Collaborate with operational teams to ensure smooth project delivery. Qualifications Previous experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or Estimator/Surveyor within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of drylining, floor screeding, or related interior fit-out packages. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Good understanding of commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects. Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail. Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities. Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
