Electrical Site Manager Kent Prison Contract Up to £335 per day (depending on experience) + staying away allowance Our client is a well-regarded M&E specialist with a strong track record delivering complex refurbishment and new-build projects across the secure estate. They run structured delivery teams with clear reporting lines and solid on-site support, and they're now looking for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to lead electrical delivery on a live MEP package. You'll take ownership of electrical supervision on site managing subcontract labour, driving quality and programme, and keeping everything compliant in a secure, controlled-access environment. What you'll be doing Run electrical supervision on site: labour, sequencing, access constraints, permits, and short-interval planning. Manage subcontract electricians and specialist vendors (containment, cabling, termination, lighting, testing/commissioning support). Own H&S: RAMS, permits, daily briefings, toolbox talks, safe systems of work in a secure environment, and close-out of actions. Drive quality control: benchmarks, ITPs, inspections, snag management, and right-first-time installs. Coordinate with the wider project team on programme and interfaces (M&E coordination, builderswork, ceilings/walls, penetrations, containment routes). Control materials and logistics, including receipt, issue and storage of client-supplied major equipment and cable. Keep tight records: daily diaries, progress reporting, labour returns, QA packs, as-builts and handover support. What you'll need Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager / Supervisor delivering MEP projects, ideally within secure, live or controlled-access environments. Strong electrical installation knowledge: containment, distribution, lighting, small power, testing coordination and commissioning readiness. SSSTS or SMSTS (SSSTS minimum). ECS/JIB card (or equivalent trade background) HNC/HND useful but not essential. Comfortable running subcontract labour, managing interfaces, and pushing programme without sacrificing quality. Able to pass the relevant security / vetting requirements for a prison environment. Electrician's Mate Commercial Project Position: Electrician's Mate Location: Lakeside Shopping Centre, Grays (RM20 2ZP) Start Date: Monday 13th July Duration: Long-term contract (Until Christmas) Hours: 07 00 (Standard day), with optional overtime available up to 18:30 daily Role Overview We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Electrician's Mate for a long-term commercial contract at Lakeside Shopping Centre. You will be working directly alongside a qualified Electrical Testing Engineer to assist with large-scale inspection, testing, and subsequent installation works across the site's car park structures. This is an excellent, stable contract offering consistent hours and plenty of overtime opportunities leading all the way up to the festive break. Key Responsibilities Assisting the lead electrician with full EICR testing and inspection on 10 distribution boards across the site. Helping conduct a comprehensive emergency lighting survey. Supporting follow-up remedial works, including distribution board upgrades. Assisting with the installation of new commercial lighting systems across the car park areas. Managing tools, equipment, and materials to ensure an efficient and safe working environment. Requirements & Qualifications ECS Card: Valid card required Attributes: Punctual, reliable, and able to take direction well within a fast-paced environment.

The work will involve installation of CCTV, wiring, containment, trays, baskets trunking, conduits. The Project has just started and due to go on for 12 -18 months. Rates: Electricians - £30/hr Improvers - £22/hr Mates - £19/hr Hours : 45-50 hrs pr week You have must have ECS card and relevant commercial/industrial work experience. Note - You will also need Enhanced Level 1 security clearance. If you have worked in a prison during the past 5 years you should already have gone through vetting for this.
