This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Birmingham office with flexible working. Your new role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for a significant element of a major heavy civils scheme in Warwickshire. You will ensure robust cost control, risk management and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities will include: Full commercial management of a large-scale civil engineering project Preparation and management of budgets, forecasts and cost value reconciliation Procurement and management of subcontractors and supply chain partners Administration of contracts, variations, valuations and final accounts Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff Working collaboratively with engineering, planning and site teams to drive value and mitigate risk This role offers genuine long-term prospects, with the opportunity to influence both project delivery and wider commercial strategy. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful, you will bring: Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar qualification) or experience equivalent Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within heavy civils Sound working knowledge of NEC form of contract, ideally Option A Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills Experience managing subcontractors, commercial risk and project cashflow Full UK driving licence.
