This organisation designs and manufactures roof trusses, joists and other engineered timber solutions for customers across the UK. Due to ongoing demand and a focus on maintaining a high-quality, customer-focused design service, they are looking to strengthen their design team. This role would suit an experienced, mid-level Roof Truss Designer who is technically competent, comfortable dealing directly with customers, and values working as part of a collaborative, office-based team. The business offers flexibility around working hours and a supportive environment with clear technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate roof truss and joist designs using Mitek Pamir based on customer and contractor information
• Review incoming designs, drawings and specifications, identifying risks and design considerations
• Act as a key point of contact for customers, including pre-design calls, post-design discussions and follow-ups
• Liaise closely with manufacturing colleagues to ensure designs are practical and buildable
• Maintain high levels of accuracy, compliance and documentation throughout the design process
• Manage your own workload across multiple projects to agreed timescales

Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Roof Truss Designer within the timber engineering or construction sector
• Strong working knowledge of Mitek Pamir design software
• Experience designing roof trusses and/or posi-joists independently
• Confidence in communicating directly with customers and responding to technical queries
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and building regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy in technical work
• Ability to work effectively as part of an office-based design team
