Job Description
We are working with a well-established and highly respected civil engineering and infrastructure contractor to assist them in hiring an Estimator for their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a busy and successful business working across a wide range of civil engineering, infrastructure, and construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting the pre-construction team in securing new work. As the Estimator your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Preparing accurate cost estimates for civil engineering and infrastructure projects
Analysing drawings, specifications, and tender documents
Obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations
Working closely with the pre-construction and delivery teams to develop competitive bids
Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions
Supporting the preparation and submission of tender proposals
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
Previous experience in an Estimator or similar pre-construction role within civil engineering or construction
Strong understanding of pricing, measurement, and tendering processes
Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
The ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
