Job Description

Ride-on Roller Operator Required: Longbenton (NE12)

Location: Longbenton, Newcastle

Machine: Bomag BW213D (Single Drum Roller)

Start Date: Monday 11th May (08:00 start)

Duration: 2-3 Days

Rate: Competitive Regional Rates (CIS/Umbrella)



The Opportunity:

We are looking for a competent and reliable Ride-on Roller Operator for a short-term contract based at our site in Longbenton. This role specifically involves operating a Bomag BW213D, supporting a critical phase of the groundworks and sub-base preparation.

Due to the immediate start and specific machine requirements, we are looking for an operator who is fully ticketed and ready to hit the ground running on Monday morning.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation: Safe and efficient operation of a Bomag BW213D Single Drum Roller.

  • Compaction: Executing compaction patterns for sub-bases and granular materials to engineered specifications.

  • Site Safety: Working closely with groundworkers and 360 operators while maintaining 100% plant-pedestrian segregation.

  • Maintenance: Conducting daily pre-start plant checks and reporting any defects.



Mandatory Requirements:

  • Tickets: Valid CPCS A31 (Ride-on Roller) or NPORS N214 (Ride-on Roller).

  • CSCS Logo: All plant tickets must carry the CSCS logo.

  • Reliability: Must be available for an 08:00 start this coming Monday and able to commit to the full 2-3 day duration.

  • Experience: Proven experience operating heavy rollers on civil engineering or industrial sites.

  • Logistics: Must be able to commute to NE12 8EH for an 08:00 start.
