Passive Fire Site Supervisor (Working Supervisor / Junior Supervisor) Location: South East London & East of England Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 + Van + Benefits
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced passive fire operative or junior supervisor looking to take the next step in their career. You will be joining a well-established and reputable fire protection contractor delivering a 50/50 split of fire door and fire stopping works across South East London and the East of England. The business offers a structured environment with clear banding, genuine development support and a strong pipeline of secured contracts.
The Role
As Passive Fire Site Supervisor, you will take a hands-on approach to overseeing site operations, stepping in to assist operatives when required whilst maintaining overall responsibility for programme delivery, quality and compliance. You will manage teams of around 6 8 operatives across multiple live sites, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and to the required standard.
This role would suit someone who has come through a trade background whether in passive fire or carpentry with a specialism in fire doors and is ready to step up into a supervisory position.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate passive fire works across multiple sites including fire doors and fire stopping and compartmentation
- Manage and motivate a team of 6 8 operatives across live sites
- Be willing to work hands-on when required to support the team
- Liaise directly with clients and building users to manage access and resolve on-site issues
- Induct operatives to site-specific requirements and company procedures
- Enforce a right-first-time culture and ensure quality standards are maintained
- Carry out quality assurance checks and ensure sign-off of completed works
- Deliver toolbox talks, site inspections and equipment checks
- Capture progress and variation information for accurate reporting
- Complete and maintain all site paperwork and diaries
- Ensure sites are fully stocked with materials and access equipment
- Support the development of junior operatives and trainees on site
What We're Looking For
- Willingness to be hands-on and support operatives when required
- Ability to travel across multiple sites across South East London and the East of England
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Passive Fire Protection or Carpentry
- CSCS Card
- SSSTS
- Full UK Driving Licence
- First Aid (full qualification)
- IPAF/PASMA
- Healthcare sector experience
