The successful candidates will work as part of a site team carrying out mechanical installation activities, reporting to the Site Supervisor or Chargehand. Candidates must have previous substation experience and be comfortable working within a safety-critical construction environment. Key Responsibilities: Carry out mechanical installation activities as directed by the Site Supervisor or Chargehand. Work in accordance with site QEHS procedures, site rules and project requirements. Complete allocated task cards within the required timescales. Work to the standards and timescales set by the Work Party Leader. Identify and highlight potential issues or delays in advance. Follow all Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements. Assist with project documentation where required. Work effectively both as part of a team and independently. Maintain a high standard of workmanship throughout the project. Carry out other duties within your competence as directed by site management. Requirements: Apprentice trained, with City & Guilds or minimum NVQ Level 3 in an appropriate discipline, plus at least 1 year's relevant experience. Alternatively, industry-recognised training with a minimum of 2 years' experience working as part of a team on an Electricity Supply Industry construction site or similar environment. Previous substation experience is essential. Experience within power generation, oil & gas, utilities or general construction environments is beneficial.
