Quantity Surveyor / Estimator - NEC & JCT Contracts South of England - Hybrid Working 55,000 - 65,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with a background in construction, M&E, electrical engineering or renewables? Would you like to join an established Commercial Solar PV and EV specialist , working on high-value projects across the UK with exposure to NEC / JCT contracts and public sector frameworks ? The company delivers commercial Solar PV projects from smaller installations through to multi-megawatt schemes , providing a complete service from design through to installation and completion. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a QS / Estimator to take ownership of estimating, pricing and tendering across Solar PV, EV and associated M&E projects. The Role Preparing estimates, tenders and commercial proposals . Pricing Solar PV, EV and M&E projects from enquiry through to contract award. Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation. Obtaining and negotiating supplier/subcontractor quotations. Reviewing NEC / JCT contracts and identifying commercial risks. Supporting public sector frameworks and tender submissions . Working closely with Bid, Sales, Design and Project Delivery teams. Identifying value engineering opportunities and ensuring competitive pricing. The Person Experience as a QS, Estimator, Senior Estimator or similar . Background in construction, M&E, electrical engineering or renewables . Strong experience pricing commercial projects. Knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts . Public sector/framework experience advantageous. Solar PV, EV or renewable energy experience desirable. Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail. Full UK Driving Licence. Civil Engineering Estimator, Hampshire My client is a National and highly successful Construction and Engineering Contractor and as a result of continued growth and success, currently require an Estimator / Senior Estimator to join their commercial team on a 6 month contract based from their offices in Portsmouth. My client delivers a variety of construction and engineering projects ranging from small minor works to large complex projects up to 100m. They work across the Public and Private sectors and multi-disciplined within Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Structural Engineering, as well as general Build Fabric Construction This Estimator position focuses within general civil engineering projects The Estimator will join an established commercial team consisting of planners, estimator and surveyors and play an important part in estimating additional works as determined outside of the framework contract, as well as planned major projects forthcoming. The works will be delivered by their internal delivery team as well external contractors and consultants. My client operates as both a Principal and Sub Contractor dependant on the client, therefore candidates who have experience estimating and quantity surveying within a Tier 1 or 2 contractor is advantageous.
