About the Company
They are a well-established and highly reputable engineering firm with a strong track record of delivering high-quality electrical and multidisciplinary projects across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to expand our team with the addition of an experienced Electrical Estimator at their Plymouth office.

The Role
As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction phase, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of electrical engineering projects. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients, you will ensure all tenders are commercially sound and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate electrical cost estimates from drawings, specifications, and tender documents

• Analyse project requirements and identify potential risks and opportunities

• Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations

• Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive tender submissions

• Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates, materials, and industry standards

• Support the handover process to project delivery teams upon successful bids

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within an engineering or construction environment

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and installations

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills

• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office tools

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

• Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related discipline (preferred)
