We are currently recruiting for one the countries premier construction projects. We are looking for Managers and Supervisors to lead construction phased plans around civils disciplines. This work will predominantly be nights and involve overseeing workers/contractors to ensure project milestones are being met. Main responsibilities include * Coordinating actions across stakeholders to ensure key deliverables are met. * Coordination of the build programme to accelerate concrete works, RC frames and reinforced structures * Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation to regulatory standards * Coordination of work programmes to ensure deadlines are met and the required project parameters are met Skills and experience You will need infrastructure experience relating to civils, concrete, structures, RC frames etc. The ideal person will have worked on large scale sites with principle contractors ideally within the nuclear sector and be able to deliver schemes on time/budget and report the project progress at a senior level Will have several roles and are looking for Managers and Supervisors from a Civils background Ideally, you will be professionally qualified either HNC/HND, BSc, Degree in a relevant construction discipline preferably Civil Engineering or Construction Management. What you'll be doing As a/an Commercial Manager, you will have the following accountabilities: * Reporting to a Senior Commercial Manager or Commercial Lead and Project Manager within the MEH Alliance EPM Commercial Organisation. * The Commercial Manager will typically be responsible for a contract(s) between 0- 100m in value subject to level of risk or complexity. * The day-to-day management of Commercial Assistants and Commercial Apprentices under their control. * Providing support to the procurement process during the Procurement & execution phase (pre & post award). * Providing commercial management for the delivery of contract final account agreements (close out). * Interfacing with Legal team on conditions of contract issues. * Providing support to the Senior Commercial Manager / Commercial Lead in ensuring all internal governance approval is in place to enable timely Contract Award. * Providing support to the SCM / CL with contract negotiations to ensure best value for the HPC project through the procurement process. * Participating in the contract kick-off meeting and organising the commercial section of the meeting. * Managing Supplier / Contractor commercial relationships. * Implementing progress and cost management, preparation of contract specific progress reports and reporting and participating in periodic contract reviews. * Leading contract commercial reviews and attending progress reviews where necessary. * Maintaining contract commercial files and cost records Who we're looking for You will have the following: * Educated to relevant degree level is preferable. * Able to demonstrate a noteworthy track record of administering successful contracts. * Effective commercial / contract management skills are essential, with clear knowledge of best practice contract methodologies. * Good commercial skills and ability to make sound decisions on matters of financial value. * Understanding of contract performance measurement, risk management and change and claim management. * Good negotiating, influencing and communication skills to command professional respect at all levels. * Familiarity with most common Forms of Contract (NEC & FIDIC) within the power construction industry and major projects and programme environment; with particular knowledge of UK Law and its impact upon the contract and commercial function is essential. * Familiar with the nuclear site licence conditions and the nuclear baseline philosophy Why work for us Day in, day out, our teams deliver amazing projects in challenging conditions; developing, managing and maintaining the vital infrastructure and public spaces that modern economies, societies and communities rely on. Reporting to the Framework Manager, the Senior Construction Manager is responsible for providing construction management and co-ordination of the delivery of multi-system Mechanical work packages including engineering design and procurement activities for all Mechanical works. They are charged with managing from fabrication to construction inspection, testing and completion of the delivery of Mechanical related packages. Responsible for supporting and interfacing where appropriate a single BBK KDP Key delivery Partner What you'll be doing As a/an Senior Construction Manager, you will have the following accountabilities: * Provide weekly and or monthly installation reports for all works including any sub-contractor as required to the SPM; including: progress, key achievements, significant issues, emerging risks and opportunities, cost and schedule forecasts, including monthly report narrative. * Work closely and take overall responsibility of the construction team that will consist of Project Engineers, Quality Engineers, Quantity surveyor, Supervision and a blue collar workforce trades. * Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests * Ensure that packages are delivered to programme, budget, safety and quality expectations/standards. * Ensure packages comply with good design practice and relevant technical group standards. * Ensure the relevant design deliverables are reviewed, accurate and fit for purpose prior to works commencing. * Identifying risks to project Team associated with the delivery of their works raising commercial notifications alongside the commercial team as appropriate. * Consolidating and documenting the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, and quality requirements) * Establishing, and implementing where necessary, protocols to change the scope of projects and updating configuration documents as required to enable the management of change. * Manage time and complete daily diaries on BIM 360 Field, support the EPPR process (if/as applicable) and contribute to any other reporting format applicable. * Implementation of Short Interval Control including running of daily section review meeting and production of a weekly section report via BIM 360 Who we're looking for You will have the following: * Industrial Mechanical bias construction background/qualifications. * Recognised experience in offsite pipework fabrication * Recognised experience in various type pipe systems including stainless & alloy materials & in particular coordination of associated approved welding procedures. * Experience in NDE, PWHT, and methods of testing & chemical cleaning for differing pipe systems. * Recognised experience in coordinating Temporary works, Rigging Activities and Lifting Activity approvals (Preferably qualified Lifting AP). * Experienced in coordinating access requirements including appropriate Working at Height selection and or scaffolding request coordination * Relevant CSCS card. * Previous experience of NEC3 Contract Management. About the role Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planner to join our BB Kilpatrick team to work at Sellafield, Seascale. Role Purpose: * Under the supervision of the Project Lead, Bid Manager or Planning Manager, to be responsible for implementing the requirements of the tender and / or project planning procedures, ensuring compliance with the business management system and for some aspects of team management, as and when required * To establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers, project team, partners and bid teams.
