The Role This is a varied role combining commercial pipework installation, heating breakdowns, fault finding and maintenance across both commercial buildings and high-end residential communal heating systems. You'll work on a wide range of equipment including communal heating systems, plant rooms, heating pipework, HIUs, pumps, cylinders, radiators and associated mechanical equipment. No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both installation and diagnostic work. Duties Include Commercial heating pipework installation and repairs Breakdown attendance and fault finding Installation and replacement of pumps, valves and cylinders HIU installation, servicing and repairs Heating system diagnostics Commercial and domestic pipework repairs Plant room maintenance Mechanical fault finding Planned and reactive maintenance Completing electronic job reports Participating in a 1-in-6 out-of-hours call-out rota. About You We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in producing quality work and is confident working independently. Ideally you'll have: Experience working on commercial and domestic heating systems Strong pipefitting and plumbing knowledge Experience carrying out breakdowns and fault finding NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating Good understanding of communal heating systems Excellent customer service skills Full UK Driving Licence Living within a commutable distance of Wandsworth. Commercial Wet Worker (WRAS Approved Operative) Daniel Owen is seeking an experienced Commercial Wet Worker (WRAS Approved Operative) to join our Commercial Heating & District Energy Team. You'll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, commissioning, and fault-finding of communal and district heating systems, with a strong focus on Heat Interface Units (HIUs) across residential and mixed-use developments. Key Responsibilities Install, service, repair, and commission Heat Interface Units (HIUs). Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on communal and district heating systems. Maintain heating controls, including Y Plan, S Plan, thermostats, programmers, motorised valves, and smart controls. Install and maintain radiators, pumps, valves, and associated plumbing systems. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs. Complete commissioning, system balancing, and performance testing. Maintain accurate job records using PDA/mobile devices. Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota. Deliver excellent customer service while working safely and in line with company procedures. About You City & Guilds Level 2/3 Plumbing qualification. Formal Water Regulations/WRAS qualification. Minimum 3 years' experience working on district heating systems. Strong experience servicing and fault-finding on Heat Interface Units (HIUs). Knowledge of communal heating systems, heating controls, and safe isolation procedures. Full UK driving licence. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification. HIU manufacturer training. Low Temperature Heating Systems training. Experience working within communal plant rooms.
