Technical Estimator Manufacturing / Construction Projects

Hours: 7am 4pm Monday to Friday (potential flexibility)

On site working (no hybrid) in Tonbridge (driving licence and own vehicle essential)

A rapidly expanding manufacturing business supplying products into the construction sector is looking to appoint a Technical Estimator as part of its continued growth.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where priorities can shift quickly. The business is looking for someone who enjoys momentum, can juggle multiple enquiries at once, and brings a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to their work.

The role

Working closely with both customers and internal teams, you ll manage estimating activity from initial enquiry through to final quotation, ensuring a strong balance between technical accuracy and commercial awareness.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing customer enquiries, drawings and specifications
  • Producing accurate and timely costings for manufactured products used on construction projects
  • Clarifying technical requirements with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Managing multiple live enquiries while working to deadlines
  • Maintaining pricing and enquiry information using internal systems
  • Supporting ongoing improvements to estimating processes as the business continues to scale

What we re looking for

This role will suit a driven, organised and people-focused individual who performs well in a busy environment.

  • Experience in estimating, technical sales, or a similar commercial/technical role we would consider engineers with pricing experience looking to move into a fully office based role
  • A good technical understanding and confidence interpreting drawings or specifications
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good Excel skills
  • The ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A proactive, respectful and career-minded approach
  • A relevant degree (such as engineering, manufacturing or a related technical discipline) would be advantageous but is not essential.

  • Competitive salary, which is negotiable, but most likely between £30,000 £45,000, depending on experience
