Commercial Electrician

About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Electrician to join our team, supporting both maintenance and project-based works across a range of commercial sites throughout East Anglia and surrounding areas. This is a varied and hands-on role, combining planned and reactive maintenance with involvement in electrical installations, upgrades, and small-to-medium-sized projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs across commercial electrical systems
• Deliver and assist with electrical installations for projects (refurbishments, upgrades, fit-outs)
• Ensure all works comply with current regulations (BS 7671 Wiring Regulations)
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Conduct testing, inspection, and commissioning where required
• Maintain accurate records and job reports
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and site managers in a professional manner
• Follow all health & safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• Proven experience in both maintenance and project environments
• Strong fault-finding and installation skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and organisational skills

Desirable (but not essential)

• Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent)
• Experience in commercial refurbishments and fit-outs
• IPAF / PASMA certification
• Experience working in live commercial environments
