Senior Quantity Surveyor

£50,000 - £70,000 Plus package + Car allowance
TSR Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a regional main contractor based and operating in Lincolnshire. Due to increase in workload and planned growth, this well-established main contractor is looking to add a Senior Quantity Surveyor to its established commercial team. Projects will include new build and refurbishment projects across a variety of sectors such as education, commercial, accommodation and local government buildings.
This role will come with assisting with managing of junior surveyors, assisting with development and guidance. A career progressing step for a aspiring Senior or established Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity in a flexible and secure business.
The Role:
- Preparing, negotiating, and reviewing tender and contract cost submissions
- Tracking project commercial performance and providing updates to the commercial team
- Producing monthly valuations for completed works and coordinating payment applications
- Pricing, assessing, and managing project variations from start to completion
- Procuring subcontractors and securing competitive subcontract quotations
- Administering and managing subcontractor accounts, contracts, and payments
- Supporting and overseeing the final account process to optimise project financial outcomes
- Preparing and maintaining accurate project cash flow forecasts
- Participating in pre-start meetings and regular project progress meetings
- Providing guidance on contractual and legal matters to the project team
The Person:
- Quantity Surveying degree or HND
- Experience in new build housing
- IT literate
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with JCT/NEC contracts
- Desire to manage people
