Location: North Northamptonshire (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Rate: 30 p/h (Umbrella)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Housing Options Officer to join the Housing Options team. The role involves completion of full housing assessments, preparing Personal Housing Plans (PHPs), writing decisions, and handling relevant casework tasks on an ad hoc basis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of housing legislation and experience managing a varied case load with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct full housing assessments for applicants

Prepare Personal Housing Plans (PHPs)

Draft case decisions in line with housing legislation

Complete relevant casework tasks on an ad hoc basis

Ensure compliance with current housing legislation and policies

Requirements

Strong knowledge of housing legislation (Housing Act 1996 Part 7 or equivalent)

Experience in housing options or homelessness casework

Excellent decision-making and written communication skills

Ability to manage casework efficiently and accurately

Must be able to work 4 days in office / 1 day remote

Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle preferred

Working Pattern

4 days in the office, 1 day working from home
