Job Title: Groundworker (National Grid - Multiple Positions)
Location: Necton Substation, UK

Rate: Negotiable
Positions Available: 5
Pay Rate: 31-32/hour
Overview:
We are currently recruiting 5 Groundworkers to support ongoing civils works on a live substation project. Candidates must have experience working in high-voltage environments and hold National Grid competencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bagging and remedial works to concrete structures and grout
- General concrete work
- Installing chippings and Type 3 to level
- Installation of ducts and drawpits
- Foundation digging and excavation
- Supporting all aspects of groundworks
- Assisting with plant operations where required
Requirements (varies across roles - candidates should hold some or all):
- National Grid Persons
- HSG47 Cat 1 & 2 (required for some positions)
- Slinging & Signalling
- PVM/Banksman
- 360 Excavator (with lifting ops)
- Forward Tipping Dumper (FTD)
- Roller
Note:
We welcome candidates with a mix of the above tickets, as requirements vary slightly across positions.
Pre-Start Induction:
- All operatives must complete the online induction (Intasite) prior to arriving on site
- A valid QR code must be presented
- Failure to complete induction = non-payment for time spent completing it later
Site Rules & Conduct:
- Adherence to all site rules is mandatory
- First 4 weeks: unpaid breaks
- After 4 weeks: 30-minute paid daily break
- No payment for operatives dismissed due to negligence or misconduct
- Random Drug & Alcohol testing in place
- No travel time paid
- Parking costs are not reimbursed
- Left turn in/out of site must be followed
