* Ensure packages comply with good design practice and relevant technical group standards.
* Ensure the relevant design deliverables are reviewed, accurate and fit for purpose prior to works commencing.

* Experience in NDE, PWHT, and methods of testing & chemical cleaning for differing pipe systems.
* Recognised experience in coordinating Temporary works, Rigging Activities and Lifting Activity approvals (Preferably qualified Lifting AP).
* Experienced in coordinating access requirements including appropriate Working at Height selection and or scaffolding request coordination
* Relevant CSCS card.
* Previous experience of NEC3 Contract Management.

Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
* Industrial Mechanical bias construction background/qualifications.
* Recognised experience in offsite pipework fabrication
* Recognised experience in various type pipe systems including stainless & alloy materials & in particular coordination of associated approved welding procedures.
* Experience in NDE, PWHT, and methods of testing & chemical cleaning for differing pipe systems.
* Recognised experience in coordinating Temporary works, Rigging Activities and Lifting Activity approvals (Preferably qualified Lifting AP).

Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
* Preferably a Chartered Surveyor, RICS APC Candidate &/or Member of the Association of Cost Engineers
OR
* Quantity Surveyor with time-served trade / installation knowledge, preferably within the industrial M&E sector
As well as;
*
Experience of the Nuclear Sector or other highly regulated industries;
*
familiar with industrial electrical installations; NEC Contracts; &/or Progress and Production tracking and risk / opportunity management.

Responsibilities :
Compliance with and assistance in helping promote the Health and Safety policy.
Provide support to the Project Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor and Managing Quantity Surveyor.
Provide support and where appropriate mentoring to Graduate and other Quantity Surveyors.
Contribution to the delivery of all confirmed project tasks and goals.
Compliance with all company procedures and protocols.
Assistance with the procurement of Sub-Contractors; Consultants and Suppliers.
Contribution to the analysis of Sub-Contractors; Consultants and Suppliers tender returns.
Assistance with and where appropriate the preparation of Orders with Sub-Contractors, Consultants and Suppliers and attend Part 2 meetings when possible.
Subject to the prior approval of the Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor and in accordance with company contractual arrangements, authorise payments in respect of interim and final applications for payment from Sub-Contractors, Consultants and Suppliers.
Preparation, co-ordination and processing labour only payments.
Contribution to the preparation if interim and final applications for payment on behalf of the company.
Contribution to the preparation of internal cost and value reconciliation reports.
Subject to the prior approval of the Project Quantity Surveyor and where appropriate the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Managing Quantity Surveyor value and agree Changes/Variations with the Employer.
Maintenance of accurate records.
Carry out building work take-offs, measurement and scheduling exercises and preparation of bills of quantities for the procurement and sub-letting processes.
Assist with the preparation and responses to project level correspondence.
Attend project and design related meetings when possible.
Integrate and liaise with the site team.

They are presently looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor/Managing Quantity Surveyor with experience on large build schemes to undertake a variety of commercially focused duties on schemes valued anything from £10million to £20million. Due to an influx of work and lots of success my client needs to grow his team fast.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to secure a long term contract with an excellent contractor. You will be responsible for valuations, variations, take offs, procurement of subcontractors and will be used to working with JCT FOC & dealing with the client on a daily basis.
