The Role

We're looking for a Gas Safe registered Domestic Gas Engineer to join our team, carrying out installation, maintenance, and repair of domestic gas systems and appliances across residential and commercial properties in the Portsmouth area.

Day-to-day you'll be:

Installing, testing, and commissioning domestic gas appliances (boilers, heaters, cookers)

Installing associated pipework, controls, and ventilation systems

Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance

Diagnosing and repairing faults on gas systems including boilers and hot water systems

Carrying out routine servicing in line with manufacturer specifications

Liaising professionally with customers and providing clear communication

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Building great relationships with clients

Hours: 45 hours per week (flexible shifts may include early starts/late finishes)

On call rota: 1 in every 6 weeks (additional pay)

What You'll Need

Essential:

Full UK Driving License

Valid Gas Safe Registration (with relevant categories for domestic work)

Relevant ACS qualifications such as: CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1

Proven experience in domestic environments

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Great communication skills and can-do attitude

Comfortable using basic IT (email, mobile apps)

Desirable:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent)

Knowledge of Building Regulations and British Standards

Experience with controls and Building Management Systems (BMS)
