BMC Recruitment Group is currently recruiting for a Building Lead to join a client in the nuclear construction sector based in HPC Site.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide and demonstrate positive HSE leadership and a strong Nuclear Safety Culture throughout the construction life cycle of the project.
- Support the Area Lead in construction planning, engineering, and works progression of allocated buildings.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve safe, quality-assured construction completion.
- Manage interfaces and collaborate with NNB as Principal Contractor under CDM legislation.
- Ensure suitable access solutions and work sequences are maintained to meet the MEH construction schedule.
- Oversee the progression of Mechanical, Electrical, and HVAC disciplines, including scaffolding, insulation, and painting activities.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant specifications.
- Maintain and communicate progress, forecasting, and issues to the Building Lead.
- Manage project change and ensure adherence to the project change process.
About You
- Relevant degree in construction or engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC, or HNC with extensive experience, or 10 years in a site management role.
- IOSH Managing Safely preferred.
- CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport.
- Capable of obtaining BPSS or higher security clearance.
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale construction or engineering projects, preferably in heavy industry or nuclear sectors.
- Positive, can-do mentality with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership and collaborative nature.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to think laterally and deliver solutions.
- Experience in managing and coordinating multi-discipline construction installation methodologies.
