Estimator - Surfacing & Civils Location: Scunthoripe, North Lincolnshire Salary: 50k - 60k + Benefits Job Type: Permanent The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join an established and growing surfacing and civils business. This is a key position within the commercial and pre-construction team, responsible for pricing a range of tenders and quotations, completing detailed take-offs and working closely with clients, suppliers and operational teams. The successful candidate will have previous estimating or quantity take-off experience and be confident working with tender documentation, supplier quotations and commercial pricing. Key Responsibilities Manage estimating opportunities from initial enquiry through to tender submission. Prepare detailed take-offs, quantities and cost estimates . Price tenders and quotations accurately and competitively. Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation to identify scope, risks and opportunities. Obtain and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. Maintain accurate pricing and cost databases. Monitor tender pipelines and conversion rates. Record and analyse tender outcomes and reasons for wins and losses. Work closely with Commercial Managers and operational teams to ensure a smooth handover of successful projects. Develop strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, framework partners and consultants. Keep up to date with market rates, legislation, standards and industry developments.
