Senior/Lettings Negotiator

Salary: £27k - £30k DOE + company benefits

Location: Burgess Hill

Hours: Mon - Fri 09.00am - 18.00pm - NO weekends!

Requirements: Full UK driving licence and own transport essential

Free on-street parking available

My client is a well-established, independent property agency with a strong local reputation and ambitious growth plans. They are now looking to expand their successful lettings department and are seeking a confident and results-driven Senior / Lettings Negotiator who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Registering applicants and matching them to suitable rental properties.
  • Arranging and conducting property viewings in a professional and engaging manner.
  • Providing landlords with feedback and up-to-date market advice.
  • Negotiating tenancy agreements to ensure successful outcomes for all parties.
  • Preparing tenancy documentation and ensuring legal compliance (Right to Rent checks, AML, EPCs, etc.).
  • Coordinating referencing, tenancy agreements, and move-in procedures.
  • Marketing new instructions, writing property descriptions, and liaising with photographers and listing platforms.
  • Managing a portfolio of properties and overseeing tenancy progressions.
  • Updating CRM systems and following up on applicant leads promptly.

About You:

  • Proven background in residential lettings.
  • Sound knowledge of the lettings process and current legislation (ARLA qualification desirable).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to build strong relationships with clients.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient with property CRM systems such as Reapit, Alto, or similar.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
