Location: Guildford / Surrey (Project near Portsmouth intially for 40 weeks)
Salary: 55,000 - 70,000 + Package (DOE)

Overview
A well-established main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager based in or around the Guildford / Surrey area to deliver a new car showroom development in Portsmouth.

The project will run for approximately 40 weeks, with strong potential for ongoing work across Surrey and the South East following completion.

You will report directly to the Contracts Manager and take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management of site operations

• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered in line with programme

• Maintain health & safety standards across the site

• Monitor quality control and ensure works meet specification

• Liaise with the Contracts Manager and wider project team to resolve site issues

• Manage site logistics, reporting, and progress updates

• Ensure smooth delivery through to completion and handover

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Site Manager for a main contractor

• Experience delivering commercial or similar construction projects

• Car showroom experience is advantageous but not essential

• Strong subcontractor management and organisational skills

• Ability to travel to Portsmouth for the duration of the project

• Relevant qualifications including SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid
