What will be my Core Responsibilities?

Contribute to the success of a variety of projects ranging in value from 50k to 13.5m across the South West. We're looking for a Site Manager who is comfortable managing a range of refurb and fit out projects, ensuring the safe and smooth daily operation of the site.

  • Oversee daily on-site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, subcontractors, and the wider project team to manage any challenges that arise during construction.
  • Implement rigorous quality control and safety measures, maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Help the team troubleshoot issues and challenges with construction to ensure the project continues to keep on track and meet key deadlines.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the Project Manager, highlighting any risks and mitigation strategies.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager in construction, ideally with a carpentry background.
  • Strong understanding of the complexities and nuances involved within construction.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality.
  • A background in carpentry is highly desirable and a relevant trade qualification.
  • Relevant construction qualifications (e.g., CSCS, SMSTS) are highly desirable.
