We are currently recruiting for a Site Technician to join a growing Construction Materials Testing (CMT) team. This role will involve carrying out on-site testing of concrete and soils to ensure construction projects meet required quality and safety standards.

The Role
As a Site Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out testing and sampling of construction materials on active building and infrastructure projects.
Your duties will include:
Carrying out on-site testing of concrete and soil
Conducting tests such as concrete slump tests, cube sampling, compaction and density testing
Performing soil compaction tests and plate bearing tests
Recording and reporting accurate test results
Ensuring testing is carried out in line with industry standards and health & safety regulations
Working closely with engineers, contractors, and site managers
Transporting and maintaining testing equipment
Supporting laboratory teams where required
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable, and comfortable working on construction sites.
Key requirements include:
Experience in construction materials testing or site technician work (preferred but not essential)
Knowledge of concrete and soil testing methods
Ability to work outdoors and travel to different project sites
Good attention to detail and record keeping
Strong health & safety awareness
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Desirable:
CSCS card
Experience using nuclear density gauges or compaction testing equipment
NVQ / HNC in Civil Engineering, Construction, or Materials Testing
