Electrical Site Manager

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee electrical installations on a commercial construction project. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background delivering electrical works in schools, hospitals, or similar regulated environments, where quality, safety, and coordination are critical.

The successful candidate will manage site-based electrical activities, supervise subcontractors, and ensure all installations are completed to the highest standards while meeting programme deadlines.

Electrical Site Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all electrical installation activities on site.

  • Coordinate electrical subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.

  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.

  • Maintain high standards of health and safety across the site in line with company and statutory regulations.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure installations meet required standards.

  • Work closely with the main contractor and other trades to coordinate works and avoid clashes.

  • Monitor progress against the programme and report updates to the Project Manager.

  • Review and implement method statements and risk assessments (RAMS).

  • Support commissioning, testing, and handover of electrical systems.

  • Ensure materials, labour, and resources are effectively managed on site.

Electrical Site Manager Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager, Electrical Supervisor, or Senior Electrician on construction projects.

  • Previous experience working on schools, hospitals, or healthcare/education facilities is highly desirable.

  • Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).

  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification preferred.

  • Valid ECS / CSCS card.

  • Strong knowledge of UK electrical regulations and construction practices.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.

  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.

  • Strong focus on health, safety, and quality.
