The Company

Our client is a well-established specialist contractor delivering high-quality carpentry, joinery and internal fit-out packages across residential, education and commercial projects.

The business works with a range of leading contractors and developers, delivering specialist construction packages on projects across the South East.

Known for its strong reputation, reliable delivery and collaborative working environment, the company has built long-term relationships with clients across the construction sector.

With a strong order book and continued growth, the company is now looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of multiple projects across the South East.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of construction projects from procurement through to final account.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing project costs from procurement through to final account
• Subcontractor procurement and package management
• Preparing and managing variations and valuations
• Commercial reporting and cost control
• Working closely with site teams and project managers
• Supporting the commercial delivery of carpentry, joinery and fit-out packages
• Monitoring project budgets and ensuring commercial performance
• Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and clients

The successful candidate will work closely with both the site and commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.

About You

• An experienced Quantity Surveyor within construction
• A Project Surveyor working for a main contractor or specialist contractor
• A commercial professional with experience managing subcontract packages
• Individuals with experience working on residential, commercial or education projects

Requirements

• Proven experience working in a commercial surveying role within construction
• Experience managing project costs from procurement through to final account
• Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement and package management
• Experience managing variations, valuations and commercial reporting
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong commercial awareness and cost management ability
