Great opportunity with a regional civil engineering contractor, for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking for quick progression to QS and to work on long-term regional projects.
Working with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will initially have the opportunity to work on 300m+ infrastructure project, delivering new roads, drainage and associated civils package estimated to take 12 months, with additional long-term package awards expected.
Assistant Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:
- Day to day commercial administration of the projects &/or packages under NEC.
- Undertaking and CE's and EW's
- Reviewing progress on site in line with commercials and programme.
- Being trained to monitor, forecast and report on budgets and costs against programme and producing CVR's.
- Reviewing payment applications
- Attending client and project progress meetings.
Assistant Quantity Surveyor requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification and relevant experience.
- 3+ years' experience working on Civil Engineering / infrastructure projects.
- NEC experience would be advantageous but not essential, as the client run their own in-house NEC training programme.
- Happy to be office and/or site based.
